Question 1

How do I use Price My Creation?

Accepted Answer

Enter materials, labor hours, planned hourly pay, packaging, overhead, selling fees, and your additional profit margin. MakerWorth includes planned labor pay in the cost of making the piece. The margin is additional profit, so your labor is not counted twice.

Question 2

How do I use Auction Check?

Accepted Answer

Enter the total item cost, your percentage fee, any flat fee, and the proposed bid. Auction Check shows the minimum break-even bid and the profit or loss left after the fees and item cost you entered.

Question 3

How do I use Custom Orders?

Accepted Answer

Describe the personalization, then enter the base item cost, extra design time, planned hourly compensation, extra supplies, special-request cost, revision allowance, rush cost, selling-fee assumption, additional-profit target, and deposit terms. Planned pay for design time, revisions, and rush work is included in costs; the additional profit margin is separate and the deposit is shown only as a payment split.

Question 4

Is labor pay the same as profit?

Accepted Answer

No. Planned labor pay is a cost that pays you for the time spent making or personalizing the item. Additional profit is what you choose to earn after those costs and fees are covered. Keeping them separate helps you avoid underpricing your time or double-counting it as profit.

Question 5

Can I switch between the three tools without losing my work?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Price My Creation, Auction Check, and Custom Orders keep their own entered values while you switch. When a destination has a blank product-cost field, MakerWorth carries over a relevant cost estimate and leaves that tool’s fee, bid, and profit assumptions alone.

Question 6

What is the minimum break-even bid?

Accepted Answer

It is the lowest bid that covers your total item cost after the percentage and flat fees you entered. It is a floor, not a recommended market price, and it does not replace planned labor pay already included in your item cost.

Question 7

How is expected profit calculated?

Accepted Answer

Expected profit is your proposed bid, minus the percentage fee on that bid, minus the flat fee, minus your total item cost. A negative result means the proposed bid does not cover the assumptions you entered.

Question 8

Which auction fees should I enter?

Accepted Answer

Enter your own best estimate for the percentage and fixed fees that apply to the auction or payment path you are considering. MakerWorth does not claim a platform-specific rate and does not update these assumptions for you.

Question 9

Can I use zero fees?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Zero percentage and flat fees are valid assumptions. In that case, the break-even bid equals your total item cost and expected profit is the proposed bid minus that cost.

Question 10

What if my proposed bid is below break-even?

Accepted Answer

The assistant keeps the result visible and shows a negative expected profit. That makes the gap clear so you can adjust the bid or revisit your assumptions.

Question 11

Do I need an account to calculate?

Accepted Answer

No. Anyone can use the assistant and view the results. Sign in is only needed when you choose to save a result to your private Saved Creations workspace.

Question 12

Are saved results private?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Saved results for all three tools are loaded, changed, and archived through your signed-in account, and each request is scoped to the account that owns the result.
